September 24, 2020Raisin Bread Pudding w/ French Vanilla Sauce...Sweet and Delicious!
The Ingredients & Instructions:
Ingredients
- 1 cup SOUR CREAM
- 1 cup packed BROWN SUGAR
- 1 tsp PURE VANILLA EXTRACT
- 1tsp GROUND CINNAMON
- 4 large EGGS
- 3 cups HALF & HALF or HEAVY CREAM
- 8 cups (~9 oz) hand torn FRENCH ROLLS
- 16 slices RAISIN BREAD
- 1/2 cup BUTTER
- 1 cup SUGAR
- 2 cups WATER
- 2 tbsp CÎROC™ FRENCH VANILLA VODKA
Instructions
- Heat the oven to 375° and Grease a 9×13 -inch baking.
- While oven is heating, in a large bowl, whisk together the SOUR CREAM, SUGAR, VANILLA, CINNAMON, EGGS and HALF & HALF or HEAVY CREAM.
- Layer half the RAISIN BREAD on the bottom of the baking dish and top with the CUBED BREAD
- Pour half of the Custard MIX over the BREAD and press down making sure all the FRENCH BREAD is soaked.
- Top with remaining RAISIN BREAD and pour the rest of the CUSTARD on top and press down
- Let stand for 20 minutes then spray the top of the BREAD with cooking spray, cover with plastic wrap, and then with foil.
- Place the pan on top of a rimmed baking sheet and add a little water
- Bake for 1 hour at 375° then remove the film and foil and continuing baking for about 45 minutes or until top of BREAD is evenly brown.
- Allow to cool and set for 2 hours, cut into squares and enjoy with Hot CÎROC™ French Vanilla Vodka Sauce
- Combine BUTTER, SUGAR, and 11/2 cups WATER in a medium saucepan; bring to a boil.
- Boil until reduced by half, about 25 minutes. Add VODKA and remaining 1/2 cup WATER.
- Whisk and return to a boil.
- Remove from heat and gradually cool down by whisking.
