The Ingredients & Instructions:
Ingredients
- 1 can SALMON
- ½ of a small chopped ONION
- ½ of a small chopped BELL PEPPER
- 2 tsp CAPERS optional
- 1 tbs minced GARLIC
- 1 tsp OLD BAY or CREOLE SEASONING
- ½ tbs MAYONNAISE
- 1/3 cup PANKO
- 1 tbs FLOUR
- OIL for frying
- 4 Brioche Hamburger Buns
For the Teriyaki Sauce - 1 cup WATER
- ¼ cup SOY SAUCE
- 5 teaspoons packed BROWN SUGAR
- 1 tablespoon HONEY, or more to taste
- ½ teaspoon GROUND GINGER
- ¼ teaspoon GARLIC POWDER
- 2 tablespoons CORNSTARCH
- ¼ cup COLD WATER
Instructions
- Combine the first 8 and mix well.
- Mix in FLOUR to combine and hold together
- Using your hand or an ice cream scooper, form mixture into tennis size balls
- Optional: Roll the balls in more PANKO
- Add a few tbs of OIL to the pan or griddle and heat over medium-high heat
- Place the SALMON BALLS and flatten them into patties
- Fry until crispy (~3- 4 minutes per side)
- Combine 1 cup WATER, SOY SAUCE, BROWN SUGAR, HONEY, GINGER, and GARLIC POWDER in a saucepan over medium heat. Cook until nearly heated through, about 1 minute.
- Mix CORNSTARCH and 1/4 COLD WATER together in a cup; stir until dissolved.
- Add to the saucepan. Cook and stir sauce until thickened, 5 to 7 minutes.
Assemble Burger ENJOY!
