The Ingredients & Instructions:
Ingredients
- 1 lb. 3 oz SWEET POTATOES
- ½ cup of softened BUTTER
- 2 EGGS
- 14 oz CONDENSED MILK
- ½ tsp. NUTMEG
- 1 tbsp. VANILLA EXTRACT
- 1 9-inch PIE SHELL
Instructions
- Peel, cube and steam or boil the SWEET POTATOES until soft.
- Preheat the oven to 350°.
- In a large bowl, mix the POTATOES with the NUTMEG and VANILLA EXTRACT.
- Add in the EGGS one at a time and continue mixing until well combined.
- Slowly add the CONDENSED MILK and continue to mix well.
- Pour the PIE FILLING into the unbaked PIE CRUST and bake at 350° for 50 – 55 minutes or until the internal temperature is between 165°- 180°.
- Let cool at room temperature for 1 hour and then cool in the refrigerator for another hour before serving.
